Disney Princess List 

Some female protagonists, even those who have the title of «princess», cannot be included in the official lineup for the following reasons: they are not negotiable, the movie did badly at the box office (for example Kida of Atlantis), which are too young (for example, Monster Inc.'s boo ), or she is not human (for example, Nala from The Lion King), click here to know more about the characteristics of Disney princesses.

Official Princesses

Each of the following 11 women has been certified as an "official Disney Princess." Some were born in the title (for example, Aurora, Merida), some married the son of a king (for example, Cinderella), some were he married a reigning prince (for example Belle), and some correspond to an equivalent title (for example, the daughter of the chieftain and the daughter of the sultan). So far, the only exception to these rules is Mulan; She is currently the only official Disney Princess who neither comes from a royal lineage nor marries in royalty.

Snow White Princess

Princess Aurora

Aurora is the title character of the movie Sleeping Beauty, based on the classic fairy tale that involves a beautiful princess, a sleeping enchantment, and a handsome prince. The original story is much darker than the Disney version, however. Aurora has the distinction of being both the Princess with the least amount of time on screen and singing more of her talking lines. Aurora has the purest pedigree of any Disney princess, being the first and only son of a king (King Stefan), who also marries Prince Philip, the firstborn son, and heir of a king (King Hubert). Aurora is 16 years old.

Princess Ariel

Ariel is the protagonist of the Little Mermaid movies, The Little Mermaid II (although the title of the main female protagonist is shared with Melody) and The Little Mermaid III, as well as The Little Mermaid TV series. The original film is based on a fairy tale known by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen about a young mermaid willing to give up her life at sea for true love. As with the BellaSleeping, the original story has a much darker tone. Belle is the fifth Disney princess and the main female protagonist of the movie Beauty and the Beast and its two sequels. His film is based on the traditional French fairy tale, La Belle et la Bête, which is about a beautiful young woman and the damn beast that falls in love with her. Belle is the first Disney princess to have been the antagonist of her love interest. She is also the first person to have a country confirmed in the film (France). She is 17 years old. Belle is the second Disney princess to be of common birth. When she marries Prince Adam (a reigning prince of her principality), she becomes a princess consort.

Princess Sultana Jasmine

Jasmine is the main female protagonist of Aladdin, its two sequels, and the television series. The film is based on the Middle Eastern fairy tale of the same name, which is currently in China. Jasmine is the daughter (and only son) of Sultan Agrabah, the traditional style title "Shahzadi Sultan" (the princess). Pocahontas is the main protagonist of the movie Pocahontas and its sequel, Pocahontas, and is the first Disney princess to have been based (loosely) on a real person, rather than a fairy tale. She is a Native American Powhatan, and she is the first Disney princess to have two "princes." (John Smith and John Rolfe, although only the first is a Disney Prince official). Pocahontas is the second princess (after Jasmine) to have her voice sung and spoken voice provided by two different voice actresses. Pocahontas was born as the only son of Chief Powhatan, therefore, giving him the title of the cacique's daughter. The franchise highlights a line-up of female fictional heroines that have appeared on Disney animated feature films. The franchise currently includes eleven female protagonists of ten different Walt Disney Animation Studios movies and a Pixar movie, each of which is either real by birth, real by marriage, or considered a "princess," due to its significant interpretation of heroism.

More recently, the line-up has expanded to include Tiana, Rapunzel, and Mérida after the successes of their respective films. Anna and Elsa from Frozen and more recently Princess Moana from the next Moana movie are expected to join the lineup.

Disney princesses are shown in a wide variety of merchandise, appearing on anything from various singing-a-long movies, dolls and other bedding toys, clothing and personal hygiene items (such as brushes and toothpaste ). The princesses are also prominently in the Disney theme parks.

Since 2013, except those created after the Disney Renaissance, princesses have been exhibited in their improved and modified / redesigned costumes (excluding Ariel and Mulan), rather than the actual garments they wear in their respective films.

Requirements to be a Disney Princess

Each Official Disney Princess must meet the following requirements: A) has a leading role in a Disney animated film, B) is human or especially human-like (for example, Ariel), and C) does not appear primarily in a sequel The royal title of the princess (or equivalent) is not necessary, but it certainly helps.

Data relating to the original fairy tales on which the films are based are irrelevant to the versions that appear in the franchise.

Attina, Alana, Adella, Aquata, Arista and Andrina

Attina, Alana, Adella, Aquata, Arista and Andrina are from Ariel's older sisters. They are the daughters of King Triton Yreina Athena, who makes them the princesses of Atlantica. Ariel's sisters will appear briefly in The Little Mermaid and its sequel, but each has a more prominent role in The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Principle, as well as the spin-off television series.

Sofia

Sofia is the protagonist of the movie Sofia the First: Once Upon a Princess of the Disney television series Junior and Sofia the First. Sofia is a girl who came royalty when her mother marries the king of Enchancia. She is the voice of Ariel Winter. Although she is affiliated with the Disney Princess franchise in her program, she is in no way planned to be in the official lineup. Ting-Ting, Su and Mei

Ting-Ting, Su and Mei are the emperor's daughters in Mulan II. They are not official Princesses because they were only secondary characters in a direct sequel to video.

Tinker Bell

Angelica is the female protagonist of the fourth installment of the live-action park/franchise theme of Disney Pirates of the Caribbean. She is not a princess, because the franchise is not so friendly and familiar nature, as well as her being a live-action character.

Bianca

Miss Bianca is the protagonist of Disney films to rescuers and Rescuers in. She is the Hungarian ambassador to the Rescue Assistance Society in New York and finally marries her partner, Bernard. She is not a Disney Princess officer because she is a mouse.

Boo

Maria Gibbs (better known as "Boo") is the female protagonist of Disney / Pixar Monsters, Inc. She is not a princess because of her boy's age.

Celia Mae

Celia is a female deuteragonist from Monsters, Inc. She is not an official princess because she is a monster.

Daisy duck

Daisy had become a Disney princess, she would have been one of the first, because she was one of the first Disney characters. She is more likely not a Disney princess because she is not real / is noble and not human (a duck).

Disgust

Disgust is one of Riley's emotions from Disney-Pixar Inside Out. She is not a Disney princess because she is an anthropomorphic emotion.

Elizabeth Swann

Elizabeth is the protagonist of the first three installments of Disney's live-action park/franchise theme Pirates of the Caribbean. She is not an official princess due to PG-13 of the movies, besides them she is live-action.

Faline

Faline is the main female protagonist of Bambi. She is not a Disney Princess officer because she is a deer.

Jane

Jane is the main protagonist in Back to Never Never. She is not a Disney Princess officer because she is only in a Disney sequel and does not come from royalty or nobility.
